The upcoming 2026–2027 season
The upcoming 2026–2027 season will mark the third winter in which eSled electric snowmobiles have been operating on this scale. As a new player in the industry, getting the business up and running has been a major undertaking for our small organization. At times, our team has been stretched to its limits, and every completed eSled has genuinely been an occasion for a small toast.
At the same time, we have learned an enormous amount — about the snowmobiles, our customers’ day-to-day operations and what running a safari business truly demands from both the equipment and us as its manufacturer.
We asked safari operators how eSled has performed in their daily operations. We also wanted to hear what had not gone well. One of our customers replied: “Nowadays, we look forward to winter because of these snowmobiles.” For another customer, the first winter was considerably more challenging. The snowmobile suffered a complete loss of power during a ride, the steering was too heavy and the track system overheated.
We addressed the problems as they arose.
The steering was made lighter, ice scratchers were added to improve track cooling, and replacement snowmobiles were provided for the damaged units. Last winter, the same problems did not occur again.
One point, however, came through more clearly than perhaps anything else in these conversations. When a safari operator’s business runs every day, what matters is not only how well a snowmobile performs when everything is working. Just as important is what happens when something goes wrong.
Can a spare part be delivered quickly to the customer’s own mechanic? Is help available if an accident occurs? Does someone answer the phone?
We do not have everything right yet, either. One customer rated our service 10 out of 10 — and our software 4 out of 10. That is pretty clear feedback. And that is exactly why we have these conversations.
Nothing helps a manufacturer improve more than the honest feedback you have given us. We promise to continue developing both our services and our eSleds to better support the demanding work you do.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond.
