Explore what our customers and partners say about eSled
Our silent and emission-free electric snowmobiles have earned praise, especially in Arctic conditions. Combining top-tier performance with sustainable technology, eSled represents the next generation of snowmobiling—efficient, eco-friendly, and innovative.
"Wow! It's really something else compared to a regular sled. Quiet and glides smoothly on the trail, without jolting your hands."
"It's amazing how there's no engine buzz from the sled... but it sure takes off!"
"I'm not surprised that guided tour companies are queuing up for these. Fits the Finnish wilderness perfectly, and driving it costs next to nothing."
"This could be our family's only sled. I'd dare to let the kids drive it, as you can adjust the driving mode to suit them. And a 100 km range is definitely enough for me too."
"It really surpasses expectations; this is a real “touch-of-quality” sled, not just a snowmobile. So, is there going to be a wider track model for work use?"
"No need to guess if electric sleds will come. It's more like when they'll all be electric, initially for tourism, then ski resorts and other professionals."
"That expression just oozes eagerness, it seems to devour the sledding trail."
"It goes smoothly wherever you want it to go. No strain on the hands."
"Listen. I've driven the others too, those trying to make this category (electric snowmobile). You guys have a huge head start. Incredible snowmobile, and from Finland!"
"I've been on skis my whole life, but never before today with engine power. Nice ride. I could definitely take this, we already have electric bikes."
"I ́ve got happy future! I won't have to worry about laundry with sled suits, no smell sticks to the gear."
"It's an impressive sled. Get these (for a major Finnish ski resort) right away and they'll wipe out a huge amount of CO2 emissions from their balance sheet. Not to mention the jackpot for their marketing, an eco-friendly destination also in terms of vehicles."
"100 km of winter outdoor activities in the silence of the Finnish forest? Have you already told travel companies and tour operators? Lapland will soon be crowded..."
"What? Are you planning to bring a track of your own to the 2025 model, which is better than this top-notch one available in stores? You seem to be serious?!"
"If our village's snowmobile tour entrepreneurs had these (at a major Finnish ski resort), the horrendous morning smoke cloud would disappear."
"I guess guided tour entrepreneurs already have these? If they can drive 100 km and fuel costs €2, they'll pay for themselves damn quickly."
"I think tourists will soon no longer want those noise cans (points finger at a traditional snowmobile) when they want to watch the Northern Lights."
"The best ever sled I ́ve been driving! You don't have to wrestle it after stepping off like you do with a typical snowmobile (shows with his hands violent steering movements)."
“I ́m surprised. Your sled has enough power and energy to climb up even the steepest of our (big Nordic ski resorts) hills. And track that does not slip!”
“Your sled is stable and smooth to drive, like a train. But agile enough to take me whenever I want to go!”
Satisfied partner
Hoem is full of praise for eSled’s performance in demanding climate conditions on the Arctic Archipelago Svalbard.
– They work regardless of the cold. In minus 30, they still go just as well and just as far, he assures.
Hoem says that the eSled scooters require minimal follow-up from the owner.
– There is incredibly little maintenance. A little support for upgrading the software now and then. And the only thing we’ve had to do is replace the handlebars and plastic parts on the undercarriage, he says happily.
Hurtigruten Svalbard has recently invested in eight of the new generation eSled. Five years of experience with the first generation makes the company confident in the product.
– As with all transport out in nature, and perhaps especially on Svalbard, operational safety is extremely important. We get that with eSled.
Hoem himself is from Finnmark and has lived in Svalbard for 25 years. In other words, he has plenty of snowmobile experience.
– I have ridden a snowmobile all my life, and there is something special about the fact that the only sound comes from the belt in the snow. And that is perhaps where I see the biggest benefit here, in addition to the purely environmental argument – the silence.
